So, question. The name of this group. Science and reason Vs. Atheism. Atheism is a position held by people who have rejected the god hypothesis. They have used sound reasoning (the burden of proof) to reach that position. Now, Im sure some of the theists here will make the argument: ...but X aspect of science proves my god. No. It doesnt. Youre making an argument from ignorance. A fallacy of logic, ergo, not reasonable. My question is: Why the name the page as such when there is no sound reasoning behind the theistic position and there is no empirical objective scientific evidence that proves a god? It seems like someone has a chip on their shoulder. Edit: I have nothing against you beliving in a god, thats your choice but to elevate gaps in knowledge as proof is intellectually dishonest. Just say you have faith, not evidence.
