So relatable - typical youth surviving in Singapore . Do you think Im the only one in a hurry to make money? Ask the young people around you, who isnt in a hurry too? Finish National Service, complete University already 23 or 24 years old. In a blink of an eye, 30 years old already. In this short period of time need to get married, need to buy a house, need to have children. Is it possible without money? Getting a HDB flat is at least $300,000 to $400,000. Lets consider the most basic of expenses - if you work in the city, taking MRT back and forth 2 - 3 times, occasionally take cab due to rush, transportation will already cost you $6 - $7 daily. Having a meal at minimum is $5 - $6. Go to a coffee place, coffee is $6 - $7. SIX TO SEVEN DOLLARS! (Lol. who ask u go Starbucks drink coffee!) Government ask us to get married early, have children early. But I still need to find girlfriend first! If I dont accompany her to eat, drink, watch movies and occasionally go overseas, or give her a branded present - Even if I have a celebrity face..... I wouldnt even be able to keep a girlfriend. Some people still need to go University, need to pay loans, and even share the load of costs at home. When its time to get married, holding a banquet will start from $1,000. Signing up with a Bridal Studio will cost $3,000 to $4,000. All these are money, money, money. Young people like us, even if we dont pursue a higher quality of life and stick to a basic lifestyle will still need to least earn some money. Im sure you wouldnt want to raise a son to ask you for money for his wedding banquet when he intends to get married, or borrow money to buy a house when its time to build a family, do you? Yes, I may be a little unscrupulous. I admit that Im wrong. But its only because of how this society has made me! (Translated by random post commenter)
