So since the hockey page doesnt want to hear other people opinions i want to hear everyone elses about how its confirmed that the AHL will have a true Pacific Division at the start of the 2015-16 season. The NHL teams involved LA,SJ,Arizona,Vancouver,Calagry,Anaheim and Edmonton. Out of those teams Anaheim(Norfolk) and Arizona(Portland) do not own their AHL team. Vancouver is in a six year contract with the comets to stay in Utica, so till (at least) the 2018 season. The Calgary flames moved their AHL team to stay in Glens Falls for three years with an option for another two. Two new teams just brought to New York. Edmonton though im not sure what the deal in OKC but do own their ECHL team in Bakersfield CA. San Jose owns their AHL team the Worcester Sharks who just signed on to stay at the DCU center in Worcester till the end of the 2016-17 season. Which leaves the last own AHL team in this group Manchester. While LA owns the team and i believe the Arena too they are still signed on till the end of the 2015-16 season so look for another contract to still stay with worcester. Norfolk and Portland are not owned by their parent clubs and if i remember the Coyotes and Pirates signed another two year deal(?) and Norfolk doesnt want to sell to Anaheim so they would have to ride out their contracts. My view is we will have hockey in these Cities by the end of 2016 no one will jump intill they can get a division. So i want to know now whats everyone elses views?
