After the beating the trees got yesterday its as if they are holding their breath -not a sound either from the small birds or the usually raucous gulls - just getting light now at 8.15 am -I have Guests in this morning and then mercifully 3 days off -I think Ill book a massage and treat myself -Im heading down town later today -I hope it stays calm .The esplanade is covered in seaweed and flotsam but so far as I can gather , no tidal surges or flooding.
