So some lady came to my garage sale today with her husband and her grandson, nice couple. She was going through my awesome collection of clothing (with tags still on most articles) while her husband was looking at my dads tools and their grandson looking at maxums toys. Nice lady, we got talking for close to a half hour and she was telling me how she was a waitress in newfane and how she watched her grandson everyday and you know, just small talking. Well, she then asked if we were selling a baby monitor at all and I said well we do have one which we dont use anymore let me run downstairs to find it and you can buy it. I bring it upstairs and give it to her and her eyes lit up. I asked if she has another grand baby at home and she said no its for my son. Which I was confused because she seemed to be in her mid 40s. I said oh, and she said he is sick and we need to monitor him closely. I said oh what is the problem if you dont mind me asking? She said while they were on a family vacation in Florida,he was just diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and recently had a tumor removed from his brain and is currently going through radiation therapy and chemo. Hes 19. It is costing them a lot of money and that is why they are garage sale- ing. She said he has seizures and she needs to monitor him closely to make sure nothing happens to him while he sleeps or is up in his room. My heart melted. I said maam you need this monitor more than we need it so please just take it, along with the clothes, consider it all yours. She started crying and I teared up as well and she hugged me so tight for it seemed like the longest time. She thanked me about 100 times and said thank god there are still good people in this world. So just a reminder to everyone, take everyday as a gift from god because just like that your world can be turned upside down in a flash. Have a good day everyone❤️
