So sorry to see that this was not printed in the Letters to the Editor section, of our local newspaper. As a mother whose child attended our local schools and a grandmother, that currently has grandchildren, in our local schools, I ask that you join me in casting my vote for Janet Wortman, for Del Norte Unified School District’s Board. Janet has a dedicated interest in seeing our schools perform at the level they should be performing and our students to excel to the level they are capable of. It is unfortunate that I have heard rumors that Janet wasn’t that interested and hasn’t been part of the pre-election activities. As parents and grandparents, I hope you understand Janet’s commitment to her children. Her daughter, Geneva, who is currently located in New Zealand, was due to give birth in September, so Janet flew to be with her daughter and meet her new grandchild. Unfortunately, because of physical complications, Janet’s grandchild was born almost a month later. Janet may have missed some of our local pre-election activities but she will make an excellent and dedicated member of our school board.
