So ten years ago I saw these cute recycled (burned out) light bulb snowman ornaments in a magazine or online or something. I started saving burned out light bulbs. After about six months I was moving to Kansas (from Texas) and brought all of my burned out light bulbs with me. I stopped saving them about that time but had a bunch in a drawer and always planned to use them to make these ornaments. Seven years ago I started doing the work to make all the little pieces. I sewed the hats (just one long tube) from red knit fabric in my stash. And I had this eyelash yarn for the white fluffy part in my stash. And had the black felt. The only thing I bought was orange Fimo to make noses and white spray paint to paint the light bulbs. Awesome way to upcycle and use what you have, right?? lol That year I only finished ONE and Suzannah gave it to her 5th grade teacher. Im finishing the rest of them this year and Lila has the same teacher (now 3rd grade). Should I send another one as a teacher gift? lol Would she remember? Any chance she even still has it? I dont know. Its kind of funny.
