So the case for which I was the presiding juror yesterday in Okanogan District Court was actually a bit of a big deal. It was the Judy Camp case in which a woman was charged with pet theft after she rescued what she saw as a neglected dog. The case has gained the attention of the Spokesman Review as well as the NY Daily News: nydailynews/news/national/wash-woman-rescues-dog-charged-theft-article-1.1737157 -There were six of us who found her not guilty on two counts and guilty of one count of obstructing a law enforcement officer.. I think our decision was fair and pretty even-handed.
