So the natural gas company wants me to pay over $160/mo to heat my home?...While fracturing our great Earth and collapsing it and busting it all up. And giving people thousands of dollars to harvest it for the companies to sell. And I mean THOUSANDS...monthly! Well, maybe its because I pay so damn much to bring that into my home. While drastically changing our Earths geography with no concern of what it might of done for our long nor short term existence. No, only thing that mattered was thousands of dollars was paid to make it happen. Holy shit man natural gas is my most expensive commodity here! With what benefit gained other than while it was burnt into thin air it warmed me for a brief moment. Then poof! I paid a huge top dollar to make someone top dollar. While I machine gears and what not to put all this equipment on the road. The very equipment to bring this overpriced commodity into my home. I get paid dirt crap next to nothing! Without the products I machine and put into this technology. The very resource being harvested couldnt even happen. I and I mean ME! Gets the short end of the stick. While the one who just sits there and puts it into their pocket gets the real end of the deal. Well I just found a seriously cheaper heat! SERIOUSLY! Plugs right into your wall. Adds maybe $10-20 to my electric bill...and I get never ending warm goodness. I think I just vetoed this non-renewable resource into something that can be made over and over again without such negative impact and puts money into my pocket instead of others!!! Im tired of making people rich! I want to have things too! And I have finally made the decision to take natural gas out of my life! I am not saying that what we do to produce electricity is phenomenally better. But it is definitely more cost efficient, and less damaging to the Earth itself. My pockets are feeling better. I mean to offend nobody. But if anyone who reads thinks of more than just the almighty dollar. Then there will be no offending occurred. Look at the big picture. Its not just about us. Its about the days to come! And as far as I see it. National Fuel charging me $12.35 just to keep my services on whether I use it or not. Along with $160/mo to pump in short lasting heat, the money rapists have seen their last dollar from me. And a much better alternative has found its way into my life. Neither source is gonna go. At least I know that A: I am not crunching up my dear mother Earth to do so, and I am saving a lot more money to plug in a heater than to continue supporting something that aims for all money and nothing else than that.
