So, the night before last we were stuck at work due to a historic rain storm. Last night we had a mass casualty/disaster all night due to a prison exploding. I have to say I love being a trauma nurse on nights....never a dull moment. I thank God that although lives were lost, out of 150 injured, we helped a lot of ppl! I love working at Baptist Health Pensacola, FL. Our team handled the situation extremely well, tagging the injured and treating them under a complete lock down during the mass casualty, as well as other critical patients that we had to see in the ER.
