Its a non-profit that supports intellectually and developmentally disabled people, and they need the money. But thats basically the end of the garden, probably within weeks. The garden organization is looking for a new property, but this is a pricey real estate market. Some folks a few blocks away have been trying to get a community garden established on a traffic island, but its a much smaller space, and its very early days. They dont even have water access yet, or permits. So, thats gonna be it for a while, until spring when Ill start getting sun on the balcony again. Boo.
