So the teacups scuba diving trip yesterday was fun with Christopher, Charles, Jeff, Dave, Yuriy, Genie, and Vivian. We did find Shanes go pro but proceeded to lose it 15 minutes later :( and couldnt find it again. We found a couple of pair of sunglasses, a carabiner, 30 of webbing, pinecones, sticks, and some end of the earth cache with m&ms tied to a small dumbell. I didnt know what to expect but was expecting something in terms of visibility. BUT there was none to be found. zero visibility, there was a lot of silt in the water. We were hoping to find more, but the pitch blackness made it a little more difficult. Once we descended below 10, it was pitch black above us and we were essentially in a very dark room with no light. we could only feel with our hands. my dive light flooded but before it did, it wasnt useful anyway because of all the silt. We spent some time in the 4th teacup (the big one) and the depth ranged to about 20+ but still didnt get a chance to get in all the nook and crannies. its mostly sloped with a channel that runs from the bottom of the water spout to the other end of the teacup. We didnt hit the teacup 6 or 7 (which in retrospect is probably where Dianas rope is because it wasnt in 5). We had a great group and everyone pitched in to carry gear. We started at about 10 and finished about 7. It turned out to be a one day trip as we all decided to drive back late last night. Yes, my shoulders are sore ;)
