So the tenant 2 floors up managed to destroy the tap in his bathtub and his apartment flooded horrendously. I woke to the sound of water dripping steadily inside the wall between my bathroom and bedroom. The access to his tap necessitated removal of tiles and stuff so the dripping continued and continued. By noonish I felt water under my carpet. Knowing that I had a 4 oclock meeting I thought I had arranged to have the the restoration guy who was working upstairs, come and assess what had to be done in my place. I waited a couple of hours only to find that despite my increasingly anxious calls that he had apparently not been told by the owner to come to see me urgently. Ended up having to reschedule my appointment at the last minute. Now at least I have a big fan blasting away at the wet carpet. So frustrating. But at least compared to the person directly above me the damage is not bad.
