So there was much hullaballoo recently about some corals going on the threatened list and how this would affect the aquarium trade. I asked a professor of mine who received his doctorate in ecology about it today and he informed me that the only thing that would happen is that we could no longer import said species into the country. I asked if this would affect trade in aquacultured specimens He informed me it would not affect trade of aquacultured corals and fish ONLY whether they could be imported or not. So as long as you are buying and trading aquacultured versions of these corals it is completely legal to buy sell or possess them. If you choose to argue against this post I hope you have credentials exceeding that of a professor of ecology who actively works with endangered animal conservation.
