So, they came and unclogged the plumbing yesterday. Then... All hell broke loose. Linoleum has been pulled up in both upstairs bathrooms, as well as the mud room. The master bedroom toilet is gone, being replaced. Drywall has been cut out of the mud room ceiling and between both upstairs bathrooms. Huge industrial fans placed in all three rooms *which includes our bedroom*, and they will be left on for a couple of days. We are sleeping with the noise. The rental company said they would take up to $100 per night off of our rent if we went to a hotel, but we really didnt have the $ to do that so we are just staying here. Its not that bad, the loud fans. Then I saw an exterminator pull up next door. I asked him what sort of critters we should look out for. He basically told me that scorpions were numerous in my neighborhood. Especially for my next door neighbor! He said, be vigilant... survivors will run toward your house, they seek water. Great. Coz, you know... we have all this dirty water that has been leaking into are ceilings and walls... We did see ONE scorpion while unpacking, but it was IN a box, so Peter thinks it came along from the storage facility. Who knows. I have been watching for them and have seen none. They are nocturnal though. Sigh. I have faith that this WILL end. We are troopers. We can handle this. I am cool, Carlo is cool b/c his world is in his room on his computer. Peter SpinalePeter is the one I worry about, so I am trying to be extra sweetness so his head doesnt explode. Keep us in your prayers, yall. XO
