So...think about this. This is a useful tool for laypersons (i.e. non-economists) to understand the relative price of goods and services in various nations. Look where our prices are relative to the other developed nations in the world. Consider this relative to the average income. Now also consider the fact that most of the primary ingredients of a big mac are subsidized by our tax dollars, making our price artificially lower than it actually is. Also factor in the massive income disparity between the general public and the top 10% (in which millionaires dont even begin to qualify). Also factor in the amount of debt we have, the level of our taxes, etc etc. Now you begin to see how poor we really are relative to the rest of the world. USA! USA! USA!
