So this client has breakage from not moisturizing regularly & properly. Once your hair is dry it becomes brittle and breaks easily. In this case the hair at the root broke off and as it grows back in its no longer connected to the loc. This means that less and less hair is supporting the weight of the loc which causes more breakage. This type of repair is very common and is easy to fix but whats not so easy is understanding how the damage occurred. Im seeing lots of people doing these repairs but have no understanding of the damage theyre fixing or how to prevent it from happening. Damage rarely happens to just one loc, its happening throughout the entire head so you cant just be focused on the worst one bc its fixed theres another bad one to take its place.
