So this evening my husband an I go for a ride...we come across a cop car on Beaver Dam near the bridge in the middle of the road with its lights on...we realize a very large Doe is laying in the road and our friends son is pulled over..it had run into his car..the poor deer is alive but suffering..We stop and check on our friends son and then Dwayne tries to convince the female cop he should give him her gun so he can shoot the deer..she does not think this is a good idea..all of a sudden a van pulls up and this woman jumps out and is now on the ground with the deer..praying or talking to it....and we are all looking at each other...including the cop who is also perplexed..well the cop shoots the deer..and the woman goes back over to deer and starts sprinkling flower petals or something all over the deer and starts hugging the cop...then as fast as she came she was gone..I was WAY more traumatized by this woman then by the deer being shot... It was a strange night for a ride. The cop apologized for having to shoot the deer and I wanted to apologize for the woman..and Dwayne asked the cop if she had a valid hunting license. What??? LOLOLOL ;)
