So this is my craft for this week, pencil sketching! Now, it was supposed to be a Christmas present for hubby but I was too impatient ;-) All I used was a photo, a piece of a3 paper and a set of sketch pencils. Some tips for people (like me!) who arent natural artists!!! *Choose a nice, simple pic and use a computer programme to erase anything thats too difficult to draw ;-) *Dont be afraid to cheat!! Ive been known to trace an image to get the right details!! Or even cheat-ier - print your image very very lightly in greyscale and just sketch over it! (shush, noone will know!) These make fab, cheap, personalised presents, and often make people well up (because they like them I hope??!!) Plus, sketching is so relaxing! And it doesnt matter if you go wrong because you can just start again or rub out. Ive never been taught how to draw but I just gave it a go!!!! What do you think? Is it something you would try?
