So this is what Ive been up to, musically. Ive spent around the past month writing and recording this song, which is clearly my best written song to date. Frozen Tears of My Shattered Spirit is the first half of a concept CD I am in the process of working on. The second and last song on the CD will be titled The Ruins of My Anguished Past, which differs quite expressively from Frozen Tears. Frozen Tears is a monument to my depression, and Ruins is a testament to my triumph over it. These are very real lyrical themes, no pseudo-evil or tough guy bullshit to be found here. As always, my primary objective with Wanderer of the Waste is to express raw, cynical, and down-right frightening emotions in a unique and unmatched way, while stomping on the pretenders and crushing myths of shallowness and bigotry in true metal music. As far as the direction of my new material: it is MUCH blacker than my first demo, to say the least. The rhythms are disgustingly haunting and so full of depression and hatred. The vocals, even more. The wailing dissonance in the beginning that sounds like a dying beast captures this feeling very well. All in all, I hope you enjoy the music. This is a defining construct for me as a heavy metal artist.
