So this just made my entire day. I MET A REAL MEMBER OF THE KINGS COURT! So I do security work on the overnight shift (11pm-7am). As I am patrolling, I find that there is someone on the property at about 5 am for some god awful reason. So, per usual, I customer service the persona and let them know that they cant be here on private property. But halfway through my statement, I start to notice some things. The many, first off, was not paying any attention to me. Instead, he had guitar picks clenched in his fist, as he was fist pumping at the moon. He was an obvious hard rocker (head band, jean vest with band patches, leather gloves, studs and spikes, mullet and aviator sunglasses at night, a good number of rings, etc). I speak up a little louder to get his attention and when finally got his attention, he said I was being rude and called me the man. I as what he was doing and he only responded, praying, I you have to know. Curious, I continued the obvious line of inquiry (who are you praying to, what are you praying for, etc.). Seeing that I was showing genuine interest, he told me that a week ago in Milford, a great man died that was a good friend to him. It was the owner of a local soup kitchen, advocate for the homeless, and the leader/lead singer to his band. The man was a Jimmie Hendrix fan, but the deceased loved and lived his life by Pink Floyd. In memory of him, he was singing to the the music gods wish you were and dark side of the moon. I offered my condolences and let him continue and went back on patrol. Just wanted to share this with everyone. Share this story with your fellow survivors. Because the best part is this is a true story.
