So this morning Beth said she wanted me to check out the journey to Positano so like a good mommy I did as requested . Took the sightseeing bus not the Sita bus to Positano and spent a good 3hours there. After I could not find anywhere up the hill to sit, have a drink and admire the view I decided to catch the bus onward to Amalfi .Even though Sarah Hemming had warned me .... anyway with a bottle of Peroni to steady the nerves I sat on the right side of the bus and made myself look at the view of the coast and the impending precipices below . it was/is spectacular and yes a little hairy at times . Arriving in Amalfi at 14:15 I ended up taking a boat to the Green Grotto .very enjoyable boat ride and a quaint somewhat overrated grotto . To finish the trip ,I investigated the Cathedral and its Crypt which was quite breathtaking . A quick draft beef to watch the sun disappear behind the mountain before heading back on the coach in the twilight along the Amalfi coast . Positano and all the other towns looked so lovely with all the lights on the way back. Well done to all the coach drivers who do that every day for all the tourists. My hat goes off to you all ! Off to do it all again with Beth Thursday :)
