So this previous post I made regarding the X-flare on Space Weather Trackers is literally the most viewed post weve ever had. Someone shared the photo then commented with this: Funny, he just recently announced he was going on hiatus...going back to school..........lol....This is the go to guy for this sort of stuff, IMHO... Why, thank you stranger! On another note, the estimations for the magnitude of the geomagnetic storm upon the arrival of the CME are out. NOAA estimates possible G3 levels, which would bring the aurora into upper/central Ohio. Only two issues: 1: Its supposed to be cloudy friday night. 2: Its Ohio, so getting away from areas with light pollution is a little difficult. So well see how that goes, but its looking like any northern areas with clear skies are in for a hell of an aurora show.
