So this will come off a little Academy awards speech(ish), but I cant even begin to tell you the emotion I felt running and most importantly finishing my first half marathon and to do this with my dearest friend Marie Roth is just icing on the cake. Many thanks to this group who have kept me going and kept me motivated. Honestly, this is the first time in my life, I set a goal like this and actually stick with it. To my husband and my kids, thank you for allowing me time to train and always holding me accountable. Seeing your faces at the finish line made all the pain worth it. Also to my sister who put the bug in my head earlier this year and was my go to for advice along the way! Seriously more than 6 hours after crossing the finish line, I am still on cloud 9.
