So time for a massive update, a little of my praisey stuff (with good reason) but mostly what I did for the two weeks I was home. So buckle up, Itll be an ADVENTURE DOWN MEMORY LANE.....via a massive wall of text so whatever. :P First off (by chronology) I got home on the third, so on the fourth I wanted to go out and do something. I decided to ride into town (about eight miles) to visit a friend of mine. So I rode into town and this is why I will say that the reason I draw breath is purely because of the Lord; two blocks from my friends house I tried to make a left turn, there was someone coming up behind me. I did not make my intention clear enough that I was turning and he misinterpreted what I was doing so he tried to pass me. The result: I got side swiped by a pickup truck. My left ankle was bruised by the pedal, my left elbow was cut a little by the logo on the side and my left calf and the top layer of skin torn off of it by the tire (about a 5 inch length, 2.5 inches wide). The praise is that it wasnt worse than what it was and that, through no thought of my own I ducked his rear view mirror; I guess my angels were putting in for combat pay that day. I stayed on my bike and scooted over to the side and the guy pulled over, jumped out and came over to make sure I was okay. I was honestly laughing, for I knew I was fine and that it was by GOD I was fine, so while he was asking how I was I was asking him if his truck was fine, much to his surprise. After convincing him I was fine and I was going somewhere to be patched up he left reluctantly and I rode shakily (due to adrenalin) to my friends place where I got some band aids. The bike is fine, I am all healed up (though sleeping for the first three days was interesting) and I am WAY more aware: lesson learned. A week later I had a gathering with three of the most ridiculous individuals I know, Tom Spruell, Austin Reynolds, and Garrett Dennis (me being the most ridiculous of all ^_^ ). We ended up playing laser tag for a while, at which Austin is WAY too good at (he had to be cheating...) but it was a load of fun. After which we got together and proceeded to stay up the whole night (Friday to Saturday) playing video games, board games, joking around, and exercises ranging from running laps to push ups (hey were not THAT much of lazy nerds, every death was worth five reps). It was due to those we were able to be up so long... Now the week after that (dont worry, last one) I got to play the Master of Ceremonies for my old churchs bible school. In a nutshell I got to be a ham on stage for the entertainment of small children and try to dance to the songs (there is a reason I dont dance). But it was an experience to say the least and it goes to show I CANNOT seem to get away from bible school hehe. But now I am back at PTI, and it feels good to be back, to jump into the fire once more (not really). With my last two weeks of classes and then my internship it will be an interesting quarter to say the least but I am sure Ill be fine, I lasted this long against all manner of things due to something greater than myself, this last quarter will be nothing. So thats all folks, glad you came for the trip. See it wasnt ALL profound stuff, as a very quirky person near and dear to me said oh you cant be profound ALL the time, so BLAH, not completely profound haha.
