So today I helped Apple figure out that they have limbo accounts from no longer valid IDs that directly conflict with ones ability to access iCloud though one has indeed updated their Apple ID. The failure to reflect caused an inability to deactivate "Find my iPhone" in order to restore settings on a new or existing device. I got paid zero dollars for this and will probably get no recognition for helping them to figure this out/aid them in their debugging. :( dang.
