So today and a 365 days before/after,your facebook feed is flooded with *happy independence day* uploads and status,your phone vibrates every five minutes and as for whatsapp,well the server goes down. Its a day, when the whole nation comes together to commemorate the history and struggles faced by our country to become what it is today. I have never been a big fan of independence day celebration.To some extent,the altogether doze of a super-patriotism seems a bit dramatic and frankly,irritating. We are a country of billions and billion people means a zillion issues to solve.So,merely typing *happy independence day* or broadcasting freedom quotes is not really enough.Lets not restrain our nationalist sentiments to one day.I firmly believe we can be better than that.Join any self-help group,support real petitions,think before littering your city,respect and reciprocate respect to other fellow indians regardless of how they differ from where you come or what you eat or speak.Be an Indian. So before the patriot inside you reverts back to its dormant mode,heres some food for thought.Just came across this beautiful video today(thanks to my news feed) and its effing good.Listen and share today,tomorrow and any or every day of the year.
