So, today it is exactly 1 years since my little guy came home to me. Its been one hell of a year, filled with trials and tribulations, but with a little critter who simply refused to give up. The start was frustrating for him as he wanted so much, but his hind-legs didnt even work(no movement, no feeling - nothing). But once some muscle had been acquired, it was full speed ahead from then on. This guy had no brakes. He soon stood up, all by him self and went out in the backyard to take care of his needs. Soon he regained the ability to bark and thus, a furry hurricane was born :) He is without a doubt one of the happiest dogs I´ve ever seen. Its sad to know that he probably had that attitude before as well, but wasnt able(allowed?) to show it as he was dumped like a piece of garbage. Good thing in the end, as those kind of people dont deserve a character like him in their lives. During this year, he has taught me so much. Sure, Ive yelled at him for chewing some stuff, but all in all, he has been nothing short of fantastic. This coming Monday I´ll be thrilled to pass on this torch to some incredibly nice people that patiently are waiting for him in Toronto. I have no doubt that once he settles in and feels safe, he will give them the same laughs, cuddles and memories as he did to me, but hopefully for a LOT of years to come :) Happy first Return to life-day Antonito, and thank you for all the smiles, the headaches and great memories :) (Pics: 1: Same night as he was found. 2: Constant surveillance and company by his big sister. 3: First time ever sitting up without any support. 4: Huh?
