So today theres a gathering at in metropolitan centres across the country. Its on the topic of this Climate Change business. So many marches have happened before, and been ignored. Some say the time has come to take up arms and plead self-defence. Others say even turning up to something like this is useless and a waste of time. One thing is for sure - if its the only thing people do, it is unlikely to have much effect, but it can be powerfully symbolic. And as a part of a wider strategy, Symbols can be incredibly effective. Im going there to lend my body to a form a crowd of people that I hope will enjoy their day in the city, and primarily feel great inspiration from each others presence, as well as sending any potential level of message that it is possible to send on this topic to those who need to hear it. Be they bystanders, or policy makers. Ill be turning up to be a brightly dressed body in an optimistic energised crowd, and all the while envisaging a new paradigm in the city and country at large as we walk through it.
