So today was my last day to teach Sunday School / Gospel Doctrine before our move... and the lesson was on Moses and the Passover, and the parting of the Red Sea. I love this story and all we can learn from it. Passover has been on my brain for another reason. Oh the 22nd, Sid and I are going to sing at a special dinner /event for LDS Jews and friends in the Seattle area. Were learning some Passover songs in Hebrew! The one song that isnt in Hebrew is Let My People Go - an old spiritual from before the Civil War. I was doing online research, trying to find out how that song came to be part of Jewish tradition, when I found this link. Laughing! Im laughing here! Brilliant Jewish people with a wonderful sense of humor have put some Passover songs to Disney and Broadway tunes.
