So update on my tooth and ACA HealthCare.gov healthcare coverage..... As you may or may not recall, my tooth broke last month. I had been following orders on the mandate and applied for Covered California and was denied and redirected to Medi-Cal who also turned me down and redirected me to Covered California .... So I requested they each send me letters so that when the gubment decides to fine me, I can document how the mandate systems failed me. Last month, I got the letters..... then I recieved the Medi-Cal card! What?! Call my friend at the Medi-Cal office and she confirms, in complete amazement, that I have 100% coverage (apparently no one is getting coverage and those that had coverage have lost it.... the system does not work) and it would begin on April 1st. So, I schedule a dental appt for April 1. They inform me that I will have a deductible but dont how much. They refer me to an Endo who informs me they are not covered under my plan. I call my provider and they inform me I have emergency coverage and that doest mean they will fix my tooth, just antibiotics! But good news, next month I will get my coverage! How much coverage? No one knows.... they wont know until the end of the month....... I guess I am just going to pay out of pocket as I had been!
