So, update time. Were back in the Hospital with Mr. David John. We took him to the pediatrician yesterday because after a wee of being sick, he seemed to be getting worse, not better in that he wasnt really keeping anything he ate down again. The pediatrician advised more testing to see if there are problems with his digestive tract-so we came to the ER & he had an Ultrasound on his belly looking for abnormalities. Both fortunately & unfortunately, that came back normal-but the food he takes in is not moving through his system the way it should, leading him to vomit once his tummy gets full or irritated. He was admitted to the childrens ward and put on IV fluids to keep him hydrated. Ive been feeding him half sized portions when hes awake & giving hunger cues. His doctors have plans for an xray study on his upper GI tract & a couple of other tests over the course of the next couple of days. We will keep everyone posted. We are at Fletcher Allen (UVM Medical Center) Baird 5 (VT Childrens Hospital wing) Room 24 & he is able to have visitors if anyone is wanting to stop by (if you have not been sick or exposed to illness that you know of in the last week or so.)
