So very proud of my Mom, Gretchen Read, who left this morning for her bucket list trip to Peru. She has always dreamed of seeing Machu Picchu and, at age 79, is making her dream come true. Since the tour requires a lot of walking/climbing, she prepared many months prior by losing some weight and exercising regularly. However, the biggest challenge of her preparation was making all the arrangements to ensure my Dad would be well-cared for in her absence (since she is his full-time care-giver.)
