So we are finally here and got to see some pretty amazing things today after the very long plane ride that seemed to be never ending. The first thing we did after getting off the plane was the bus ride into Jerusalem with all the other schools and Phil. When we got to our hotel we had about 2 hours of free time to eat and look around. During this free time some Israeli boys came and wanted to join a game of hackie sack being played by some of the others boys on this trip. So naturally everyone on this trip from all the different schools started to join in one by one. But the game was ended because it was our time to go walk and pray at the Western Wall and to see the Dome of the Rock at the Temple Mount. We also got to see a quick glimpse of the Mount of Olives, which we will be going to later this week. At the Western Wall boys and girls had to pray separately. After everyone was done praying and taking in the beauty of the sights in front of our eyes we went souvenir shopping for all of you. The shops were in tiny alleyways right in the heart of the Old City. they had some really amazing and very colorful things there. We finally walked back to the hotel, got our bags, and checked into our rooms. This was a very nice hour and half break for our tired bodies after such a long day. We ate dinner then went out around our hotel area to get ice cream and explore the area a little bit. We then went back to the hotel lobby, played some card games, and then left to go bed. We are all really excited to sleep tonight and see what tomorrow has in store for us.
