So we contacted Woolworths again to offer them Violife. We figured a year after first presenting Violife to them and being told no thanks that wed try again, after all, there must be even more vegan and lactose intolerant people in SA now right? Well this was their answer: We unfortunately do not believe that there is sufficient demand within our customer profile for a non-dairy cheese offer. So although we can appreciate their point of view as uneducated as it may be from our perspective, what we cant understand is how we see almost on a daily basis people posting pics on FB about the latest Woolies product and how great it is that its vegan (purely accidental we can assure you) and yet theres Pick n Pay and Checkers who have gone out of their way for years now to try and accommodate the vegan population and never seem to get any real credit for it! Well that surely needs to change dont you think? So thank you to Pick n Pay and Checkers for stocking our Violife Dairy-free cheeses and lets hope we can show you enough support to see even more vegan products on your shelves in the near future!
