So we found out over the long week-end that the Vet is pretty sure Baby Cooper, aka Coopy may have epilepsy! Uuugh! We have only had German Shepherds my entire life and Brigs Coopy is the first small breed. Found out Pekingese are genetically predisposed to epilepsy. So picked up the Phenobarbital today for his first dose! They will do blood tests in 6 weeks to see if the dosage needs changed and if he is metabolizing the meds okay. Anyone else have a dog with epilepsy? He looks like he is biting at stuff that is not there and they call it fly biting syndrome but our Vet said it is the same thing as a form of epilepsy! Poor little guy!
