So we got a new tv for Christmas. Its a lovely 55 inch SMART sony. Unfortunately, Im not so smart. I was given to understand that there is some magical way that this tv can act as a computer screen so that I can, for example, watch old episodes of one of my many favorite old tv shows that are on line (on the website Acorn for example) on my tv rather than my computer monitor. I understand netflix, hulu etc. but I understood that this tv was built such that if something isnt on one of those services, and you want to show it on the tv you could, like just your computer screen. Keeping in mind that I am, in fact, computer stupid and that this extends to tvs and other electronics, how would I go about getting my tv to act as my monitor without a wire of some sort to hook them together.
