So we went to Holy Rood Cemetary today. I went to my great uncle Louies grave. Hard to believe hes gone 9 years already. I grew up in his store in Greenpoint Brooklyn. WASCO auto parts was a huge part of my life. My great uncle taught me so much about business and how important it was to treat ur customers right. I took so many of his lessons and still apply them to this day at work. I miss him terribly. After that, I went to another grave....that of my brother from another mother Pat. I still cant believe hell be gone 22 years the end of this month. I stood there and we had a conversation for about 15 minutes. It seemed like we were talking back and forth and he reminded me that I am deep down a good person with a huge heart. I still keep blaming myself for his death mainly cuz I wasnt there to stop him. I know I shouldnt and he told me that. He also told me that he knows things will be better and to just give it time. So after that, I realized he probably knows more than I do and I know it will be alright.
