So we went to Souq Bistro & Grills today. Before going there, I searched for reviews on this group, and frankly I found more negative reviews than positive, but since I am huge lover of Souq the Restaurant , their grilled basa, their garlic dip etc, I thought lets give bistro and grills a chance. Now I am a person who judges a food place by its food, so this review is totally about food and service and not about the colorful smokes and live music. We ordered Chilli coriander King Fish with mashed potatoes and root vegetables: The fish was not grilled well, it was smelling, devoid of all flavours of chilli and coriander. Mashed potatoes were not mashed well (it was like ghar ka aalu ka bharta) , they were not smooth as well. We returned the dish, they took it back. They didnt even fix it and bring once again. The chef came to explain but had no words. We ordered a garlic dip, they served mayo with garlic pieces in it. Now if you have had garlic dip at souq at Vjiay chaarasta, you will kill yourself. This was excessively sweet with no flavour. They didnt take this back or tried to fix it. We also had Oven roasted teriyaki chicken with spaghetti: spaghetti was fine, chicken grilled ok. little extra sweetish than what it should be; but bearable. Overall: Quality/Taste: Very Bad Service/Responsive Management: Bad Quantity: They should rename their root vegetables to may be 1 root vegetable each The only good thing was Herb rice with was a side order :P If you want good food, DONT go to this place. If you want performance/live music refer to other reviews.
