So what are we to do with all this violent language attributed to JESUS in the book of Revelation? JESUS came as a non violent baby ... He went around preaching peace ... Forgiveness issued from his lips towards his violent murderers ... He called us to show peace and bless when we are slapped across the face .... Given all this ... Then why is JESUS going to return again with a sword to kill the nations at the end? Why is he killing his enemies then instead of loving and blessing them as he taught? I have studied more about the book of Revelation than anything else in the past 40 years I have taught it at church and at uni for pastors ... So what do I make of all this violent language now that I see Father as a restorer? I am doing a re read of this book again And am seeing different ways of understanding this violent language Would you like some posts on my current ideas?
