So what happens when a pastor prepares to leave his family for a week of ministry? As I pack I moved a laundry basket and sat on the floor to pair some socks only to discover that I had sat in a swarm of red ants. I managed to uncover my legs and save my 9 month old. As I slayed the ants I was summoned to the kitchen in order to solve the mystery of water coming up through the floor. All this after cancelling vacation due to the chickenpox, a wife coming down with a cold and a 9 month old who may or may not have swallowed an Ibuprofen tablet (he is in the clear and fine). Needless to say I stopped and prayed . . . and prayed . . . and prayed. Lord Jesus protect my family while I am gone and may we give you praise in all things.
