So what is envy? Envy in essence is a lack of self esteem. A lack of self esteem that propels you to covet items you believe will fill said empty pit of self esteem. But they wont. See, i could spend 24 months walking you out of debt and struggling but I promise you we will get absolutely nowhere. Why? Because Envy (lack of self esteem) is the leading cause of spending addictions in our community. Well buy a lot of clothes when we dont really need em Things we buy to cover up whats inside Cause they make us hate ourself and love they wealth Thats why shortys hollerin where the ballas at? Or in other words, how in the heck will you ever truly be happy with anything you already own or even achieve in life if youre not happy with what youve already been given from birth? You think your God makes mistakes on your skin tone, hair texture and other aspects of your heritage, yet he or she is going to give you anything else you wish for at this point? Come on son! This is the first step and THEE most important step! *THINK* Now why do we constantly encourage those in our program to love the hair (among other things) that they were born with? Folks, of all 1800 clients in our program, I have never had anyone relapse and go on a spending/ debt binge who had initially worked on their love of self worth before the process began. Ever. When you develop the self esteem to say I deserve more in life...when you know that everything you have been given both physically and mentally is more than enough...there is not a single human life on earth you will spend money to impress while simultaneously hurting yourself and your kids in the process. If you can name one person that its worth struggling a day in your life to impress with status, then youve already lost the battle. Buy less. Live more. Embrace your heritage. Low self esteem is one of the most expensive line items in your monthly budget and of those around you.
