So...what now? I am super excited to say that my tumor has been eradicated by chemotherapy and radiation. This was confirmed by my surgeon, Dr. Peter Bossart. However, he strongly suggested I also have my radiology oncologist confirm these results. I was seen this past Tuesday, by Dr. William Sause. He concurred that the tumor is no longer there, however the tissue, where the tumor was, is still abnormal. He said that could be normal but we wont know for at least a few months. I have been scheduled for a CT scan in December and follow up then. It could be the tissue is still healing, but doesnt indicate whether or not the tumor can or will grow back. For now, I am happy and am feeling about 90% normal. I do worry that I feel extra tired this week. But I have been taking Macy to soccer training at 7am and havent been awake that early since school let out. Thanks for all the calls, emails and text asking about me. We are blessed by all of our friends and family and prayers said in our behalf. Love to all!
