So when I asked my lazy waste of space colleague why he had not turned up for work yesterday, he tried to tell me he couldnt get out of bed because he was so ill. I think its the toll of working 3 jobs thats done it, he tried to explain. I should mention at this point he works part-time on all 3 of these jobs for 2 hours a pop. He works a total of 6 hours a day. He normally works 4 but he has some added temporary work in the run-up to Christmas. When I called him on his excuse, I asked if he had been to work at his other jobs. He said no so, I asked him how it was that I saw him cycling through town if was too ill to get out of bed. Making an anxious effort to cover his lies up, he then said he didnt have his other works number to call in sick so had to physically go up there and tell them. Why bother lying? I would have had more respect for him if he said he overslept and couldnt be arsed to come in late. Said colleague has gone AWOL from work loads of times but never gets called on it. Management know and never do anything about it. Takes the piss. #thingsIputupwith
