The Pride of our Indigenous Heritage - Igorots The Philippines with all its historical turmoils with independence for hundred years, with its struggle for self governance and now being independent shows inability to govern properly, it has however one off the most successful story. The success of the Igorots to maintain their culture and identity here in the Philippines. It is one of the only tribes that he Spanish never ever conquered as they defeated the conquerors in their few attempt to colonized the Mountain province. As a disciplined cultural group, they withstand the bad foreign influence most Filipinos been affected by and maintained their cultural ways up to this present day. Their culture follows a simple Elders like council that attend to all problematic issues and diplomatically resolve it. They do it not individually but as a group. What matters the most is they are truly proud Igorots much better than most Filipinos that seems to have lost their precious cultures. Have a look at this proud Igorot girl, Hanna Bhangsail a true pride of Indigenous Philippines when she was young. Now a young teenage girl has not lost that eloquent looking beauty that is commonly found with the Igorots. Very proud, helpful and caring people
