So, when it comes to why the farm bill did not get passed, you actually have to ask who really benefits from it being passed. evidently, the Republicans think that only those who "need" the food stamp program benefits because these people are shipping the food they buy with food stamps to Central & South America.....but in truth, they are just out to put that money into the hands of agri-businesses that in turn donate heavily to Republican campaigns. This bill is suppose to help the family farmer and food stamp receipients, who actually need the supplimental support that food stamps provide...... none of them are sending barrels of food to Central & South America, or even Jamaica, Haiti or the Dominican Republic...... there is something crooked about someone who will steal the bread from the mouth of a child so he/she can line their pockets with ill-gotten wealth.
