So while driving into work on 22 this morning, traffic was slow - TopicsExpress

So while driving into work on 22 this morning, traffic was slow going and everybody was cutting everybody off trying to speed down the road, not sure why right lane was moving so slow and then I saw there was a line of military vehicles driving below the speed limit, on some of these vehicles soldiers were sitting in the back, rain soaking them, but they still seemed upbeat about it, nobody wanted to follow behind them, either because they were in too much of a hurry or were afraid to make eye contact with the very men and women who protect us, so I decided to get right behind the soldiers, turn my 4 ways on and follow them until I had to get off my exit, I wanted them to know I was behind them, supporting them and respecting them, yeah I like to get to work early to chill for a few minutes before starting work, but I rarely have to chance to show these soldiers my support, so I figured, I can take my time for them, since they obviously take time for each and every one of us with their sacrifice. After about a mile I look in my rear mirror and see about 12 to 15 cars with their 4 ways on following me and the soldiers. It was a great feeling. As I was following them, I began to wonder if they were coming home from the war, if they were headed to the war or if they were just simply going somewhere else, and I wondered how many of them were going to have to pay the ultimate price for you and me, ill admit, I got quite choked up. So please if you have the chance to show respect, take the time and do it. Our lives are always about being fast paced and we dont take the time our men and women deserve for us to show them that we stand behind them and their families. Thank you to all my friends and family who have made the choice to protect us, and to all my friends who are thinking about joining the military, please know that I support you
