So world news has been weighing pretty heavy on me lately. So much sadness and it feels like there is little I can do about it. Until this opportunity came in front of me that is. Many of you know I have a soft spot for Africa. As it turns out a good friend of mine works in Disaster Medicine at Indiana University School of Nursing. They have a long standing partnership with one of the primary hospitals in Liberia that is being devastated by Ebola.In fact he was there just a few weeks ago. The medical infrastructure is crumbling as staff fall ill without access to basic protective supplies like gloves. I have never run a marathon or asked you to support a milestone physical accomplishment, but I ask if you can to support this important cause. If the hospital cant stay open the disease will keep spreading. Help them to provide the basic supplies and continue to develop the capacity of the JFK Memorial Medical Center in Monrovia. Gifts of any size will make a big difference.
