So yeah, yesterday we walked the streets of Bulawayo carrying our crosses. For me, its one of the most senseless things I have done - utter foolishness to my flesh and the carnal mind - let alone to the world. As we marched, folks stopped and shouted out asking why we are marching silently and what on earth we were doing in the first place. I remember the stares at Bulawayo Centre, at OK Jason Moyo, at Haddon and Sly Building etc...it was ridiculous. However, at the same time, I felt the presence of God right throughout the march. We prayed for this city in our hearts. We marched because we long for a resurgence in our city. I am personally tired of the church playing games and having power struggles and tryna prove who has power or not, whose church has more people or not and all that nonsense - all the while while folks are dying, my peers are going to jail, impregnating girls out of wedlock, marriages are breaking, families are breaking and people are desperate. Who is going to bring hope? Because that is what they need. The cross is what needs to be preached and lived out - not sugar-coated versions of it. I strive not to waste my life and belittle what the God-man did on that cross - it will count. #CarryYourCross
