So yesterday, I just heard the most idiotic doctrine of my life. And I have heard some idiotic doctrine. This was baked up by some ex-Messianic antimissionaries based upon something that Yeshua said, of all things, which of course they dont accept the NT but will use it to tell you that you dont have to believe He is Messiah. So since they tell us we cant use the NT to prove He is Messiah, they shouldnt be able to use it to try and get us to deny Him. Fair enough? Now theres some prime hypocrisy for you. Stunningly, they want us to abandon Yeshua, but their own actions tell us to heed the words of the Master as authoritative. Matt 12:31Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come. So heres the doctrine. If Yeshua isnt Messiah, then people who call Him Messiah are guilty of idolatry. Therefore, our safest and best bet is to deny Him, stick with the Father and count on being forgiven for speaking against Yeshua. Yes, pick your jaws up off the floor. Now, lets look at this logically. Why does one have the Spirit in the first place? Through faith in Yeshua and obedience to the commandments. And what does the Spirit do? It bears witness to the testimony of Yeshua and the commandments. If, once having that Spirit, we then deny the testimony of that Spirit, we are calling the Spirit a LIAR. Hows that for blaspheming the Spirit? Evidently we are supposed to trust Yeshua enough to deny Him but not enough to follow Him!!!! Even hyper-grace isnt sufficient for that sort of thinking! So why on earth do they focus on us, who are comparatively few, and leave the 2 billion Christians alone? Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Of course, had they read Matt 12:31-2 in context, and were they honest, they would have included 12:30 He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. Any of us who are with Yeshua are gathering, and those who are not with Yeshua are SCATTERING. That is what these people are doing. And they do not know their scripture, they know verses, some of them know a lot of verses, but they do not know the whole of scripture. Their eyes were opened at one point, but they decided to close them. Accepting teachings from people who shut their own eyes is a risk we should not be willing to take. Id rather close my own eyes and operate a table saw, at least then Id only lose a hand.
